In short
- Platform
- Strictly necessary cookies only: signing you in and securing company sign-in. No tracking.
- Public website
- Audience measurement with Google Analytics, only once you accept it. No advertising or social media cookies.
- Consent
- Asked before any audience cookie is set, as easy to refuse as to accept, and asked again after six months (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
1What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, read back on your next visits. Websites may also keep information in your browser's local storage, which works the same way for what follows: this policy covers both.
3Audience measurement on the public website
On the public website only (the home page, the demo request page and these documents), and only once you accept it, Google Analytics measures the audience: the pages viewed and how visitors reach them, and whether a demo request was sent (never what it says), so that we can improve the website. It is never loaded in the platform, nor before your choice, and is never used for advertising (Google's advertising features are turned off).
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visits of the same browser apart, set by Google Analytics | 13 months |
_ga_3EEG05YKKH | Keeps the state of the current visit, set by Google Analytics | 13 months |
Your choice itself is kept in your browser for six months, then asked again. Withdrawing it stops the measurement and deletes these cookies.
4What the platform keeps in your browser
To make the platform easier to use, it keeps a few settings in your browser, never sent to anyone:
| What | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Program and filters chosen | Showing the catalog as you left it | Until you clear your browser's data |
| The model chosen in a session | Keeping your choice of model for the session | Until you clear your browser's data |
| A message not sent yet | Not losing what you were writing if the page reloads | Until you close the tab |
| The last leaderboard seen | Showing what changed since your last visit | Until you clear your browser's data |
| The Studio's panels and notes | Showing the Studio as you left it | Until you clear your browser's data |
| Your cookie choice | Not asking again on every visit | 6 months |
5Third parties
The application loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address to send them but sets no cookie. The preview of a project, built in a cloud environment by E2B, is shown in a frame and sets no tracking cookie. Google Analytics places the cookies above on the public website if you accept it. No other third party places cookies through Tokenacademy.
6Managing your choices
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings (in Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security; in Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security; in Safari: Settings, Privacy; in Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions). Blocking the cookies above will keep you from signing in.
